What happens if the Swedish Institute iPad is lost or stolen?
Students are responsible for the replacement of a lost or stolen Swedish Institute iPad.
If you’ve misplaced or lost the iPad, try using Find My iPad to locate your device. This service allows you to locate the iPad on a map, make it sound an Alert, send it messages (e.g. “If found, call XXX-XXXX”), and remotely lock or erase it. For Find My iPad to work, the iPad must have Find My iPad turned on, be connected to Wi-Fi, and have battery life.
There are two ways to access Find My iPad to locate a missing iPad: 1) From a smart phone or tablet: Download the Find My iPhone app and sign in with your Apple ID. 2) From any PC or Mac: Sign in to iCloud.com with your Apple ID.
Always take appropriate precautions to insure that the iPad is handled properly and stored securely when not in use.
